About
An open-science publisher,
with a lab of its own.
Antigravity is an independent open-science publisher founded in 2024, based in Valencia, Spain. Our core product is a preprint archive that covers the sciences — physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, medicine, computer science, statistics, and engineering — under a single unified taxonomy.
We also operate an in-house research laboratory, focused on advanced propulsion and the mathematical physics adjacent to it. The lab is a vertical of the publisher, not the other way around: its results flow into the open archive before they flow anywhere else.
Principles
What we defend.
These aren't aspirations. They're the constraints Antigravity was incorporated to honour, and the reason the platform exists as a separate thing from what the established publishers offer.
- 01
Open on both sides
No reader paywalls. No manuscript fees. Open access is the default — not a premium option.
- 02
Code and data are first-class
Every paper publishes with its data and code, not as supplementary material but as citable artefacts of their own.
- 03
Negative results belong
Null experiments, replications, and failed approaches are published under the same categories as successes.
- 04
We publish ourselves first
The in-house lab submits to the preprint server before submitting anywhere else. If the rules don't apply to us, they don't apply to anyone.
- 05
No one takes distributions
Funding comes from grants, partnerships, and long-horizon donors. All of it goes to platform operations.
Timeline
Where we are.
- 2024
Foundation
Antigravity S.L. is incorporated in Valencia, Spain. The initial mandate is an in-house research lab focused on advanced propulsion physics and general relativity.
- 2025
First preprints
The lab releases its first bounds on Mach-effect thrusters and numerical studies of Alcubierre-type spacetimes — all as open preprints with data and code attached.
- 2026
arXiv launch
The preprint archive opens at arxiv.antigravity.com with a cross-disciplinary taxonomy mirrored from arXiv, ChemRxiv, medRxiv, and bioRxiv. 244 categories. Open access, no author fees.
- 2026
Press, in planning
Work begins on Antigravity Press — a slower peer-reviewed layer on top of the archive, with transparent review and author-retained copyright.
- 2027
Simulations, planned
A shared reproducible-compute environment for numerical physics and mathematics, seeded with the lab's open simulations. Forkable, versioned, citable.
